Exceptional First Breeding between Madison & Grizzlie

Whelp Date: June 9, 2010 ~ 4 males & 1 female

 

We have done as much as we could to ensure the puppies will be healthy and talented. Madison and her mate are both accomplished hunters and have tested well within the NAVHDA system. Both dogs have had hip x-rays and thyroid tests. Based upon the distance between New Jersey and Montana the breeding was done surgically.

 

UPDATE:

The puppies had their first visit to the vet with their eyes open. None of the puppies have worms and are all healthy. Eyes, ears, throat, heart and bite/teeth were checked, no problems. All puppies have a good scissor bite with no extra teeth. The testicles on all males have dropped, M3 retracts his very quickly. The puppies received their first shots and have their health cards started. The puppies will receive their 2nd dose of worming medicine on July 29. The puppies continues to grow, their current weights are:

M1, 13.5 lbs, M2, 13.4 lbs, M3, 13.3 lbs, M4, 11 lbs, F1, 10 lbs.

The coats on all puppies are very dense and shiny.

 

It’s bittersweet, this will be the last set of pictures with all 5 puppies.

2 puppies will be going to their new homes this weekend, the 3rd will be kept until it’s is old enough to fly, F1 “Black Wire’s Arriving at Lexington” will be staying with us in NJ leaving only 1 male available.

 

This has been a very enjoyable experience, thanks to all the friends that have provided support and guidance and to the new owners for providing good NAVHDA/hunting homes for this exceptional breeding.
